What a truly fascinating year 2020 is turning out to be. With all the panic and divisiveness we have seen this year, most of us would be forgiven for wanting to see the back of it. We’ve even had to endure the nightmare situation of the Scousers finally winning the Premier League to compound our misery.
But amidst all the doom and gloom, a pair of brothers from sunny South Dublin are trying to save our year by starting Tackling Sport, a platform that allows themselves and others an opportunity to share their sporting stories and opinions.
Most might say these two lads are just your average joes but has every average joe landed a huge tricast at Cheltenham? Has every average joe won U-9s Player of the Year for their local football club? I didn’t think so. And that’s the beauty of what Tackling Sport is all about. No doubt throughout the series, we will hear the untold stories about where that five grand went and the rise and fall of one of Park Celtic’s most gifted young prodigies.
Everyone has had to wait long enough but the armchair fans are finally back. We’ve all had the misery of doing our 5k run, the endless zoom calls and the constant panic talk about how Christmas might be cancelled if the pubs don’t open back up. We have all missed the quality content and entertainment we used to take for granted but we’re ready to go back to normal. We are ready for Tackling Sport.
*Every Monday, Tackling Sport brings you a different insight into sport by speaking to players, agents, referees and everyone in between. If you want to learn more about the world of sport, this is the podcast for you.*
